Good question Minister James,  for me whether a singer is yelling or hollering or softly and quietly whispering does not matter, it is the passion and the love for Jesus that comes out of their hearts, or doesn't, that will minister to my soul which is the anointing of God working through them.  As far as Sunday's Best is concerned, this is my first year watching it and there were a couple of individuals that when they sang......the presence of the Lord was definitely there. One was the first night with the man in the red shirt....my God, my God, and the second night was when Momma Rose was singing.

True, the guy in the red shirt was awesome, but do we in the church
Act the same way as the judges do on the show, when someone sings
i in our church service? Cause just like I say in our rehearsals that we shouldn't
shouldn't sing to impress the individual but rather we sing to bring glory to God.

Sunday's Best has become a joke! Although the judges are well known and has experience in gospel music, I think there are other gospel artists who would have been better qualified to be judges on this show. It would have been nice if they would have gotten some of the OLD gospel artists to give advice and be judges. The anointing of God is nothing to play with and it has its purposes when showing up. It destroys yokes, removes burdens, uplifts, encourages, draws a person to Christ and a host of other things. To try and make a competition out of the anointing is just horrible in my opinion. The anointing (Holy Spirit) WILL NOT compete against himself! For some reason it seems as if this season's show will be boring and a long drawn out process. Many are on the show for the WRONG reasons. They try to perform and entertain instead minister. That's what get most eliminated. I suggest we all ask God for spiritual discernment in this day and age. There's way too many wolves in sheep's clothing in our churches, on radio shows, television, and yes, even on Sunday's best! I don't think the show is going to be around too much longer! Just my opinion!

Ok Minister Zephaniah you are right Sunday Best is not Sunday Best. I was totally disgusted that they took off Michael Pugh. I am not going to watch anymore because it seems more carnal that spiritual and if I was looking for carnal singing I would watch American Idol.

Well to me Sunday's best reminds mr of a gospel
American Idol, who ever can scream and holler the 
most will win!! Know Michael Pughis good, but did
u notice how the judges were not feeling him as in weeks past?
I mean it's funny how 1 min. Donnie is singing, and preaching,
And Mary Mary, shouting as well. But get to this week
and they arnt feeling him??
I think that is the problem even in the church, are the aints ( so called saints)
Coming to hear the word weather in song or preached, or do they come to be entertained??
We have a real problem in the church, cause mist often than not, 
We will sit back and judge the choir, pastors sermon,
the deacons prayer???
I thought that when we come into the house of God we
come to worship and praise him!! Not to entertain the people in the pews??

As I've said this before, "Sunday's Best is a joke!!!" So many people in our churches only come to be entertained. It's a shame the condition that MOST of our churches are in today. One of the reasons there is no POWER is because many of us have lost our true focus. Our focus should be on Christ and reaching lost souls. It may sound as if I'm trying to criticize the church, but please remember that not ALL churches are in this condition. There are some REAL true powerful churches in this world who continues to preach the pure truth, regardless if it hurts you or not. But for other churches it's a fashion show, all about entertainment, praising the pastor, bishop or chior, and sometimes it's all about the name of the church people attend. How sad!!! Oh and as for Mr. Pugh......If we don't learn to use DISCERNMENT in the body of christ, we will all be fooled by those who we THINK are true men and women of God! Some of us simply don't want to accept or see the TRUTH!!!
